Country
Trammell & Carter

On A Country Day

Well I was sitting out on the porch
And I heard a big boom in the barn
Well I walked over to see what it was
And I’ll be darn, the bull pierced the door with his horn
Then I got mad, and I grabbed my whip
And that ole bull started to kick
Then smack right on my chest
Thank God I was wearing my lucky vest
I got so mad at that bull
I just started to lose my cool
So I got in my truck, and went down to the store
And I got my bags, and put them on the back of the truck
Then I seen this girl that I was falling for
So I put my bags on the back of the truck
Then went right back in the store
And my oh my to my surprise
She turned around with her purty blue eyes
Then all that anger I had about that ole bull
Slipped right outta my mind
I approached her and asked how are you
And then she replied
Im am doing just fine how about you
I said I would be better if it wasn’t for my ole stubborn bull
She said the one that was giving you trouble last week
Then I gasp and my heart skipped a few beats
I said I’m surprised you even remember me
Then she said how could I forget you silly man
Then I smiled and asked would you please give me a hand
Come on down to the house and help me with this bull
She said sure why not you look like you could use a hand
We pulled up at the barn and that ole bull,
He was piercing the door with his horn
Then she looked at me and said just let him be
I said okay I guess that would work
How about me and you go down to Apple Bee’s
She said sure why not as long as you pay
Then I smiled and said of course ”Oh my oh my what a country day.”

Country To Me

Country To Me
The sounds on the radio
are sweet and southern
A mothers soothing voice and a daddys loving hand
You learn life lessons and love stories too
A broken hearted cowboy and a sad girl too
Long crazy nights with the ones you love
Some hearts are broken and some are loved
Stories from the heart and stories from the book
We all relate to the songs they wrote
from George Strait to Thomas Rhett
We all love the music that soothes our souls.

Country Jacob Stahmer

As we stepped in, into the old bar,
Watching ‘er as that old sway, made my foot start,
it was a’tappin, to that sweet voice,
as she made that, sweet melody,
we saw her, and heard that sweet noise,
and as that foot tapped, what i felt in me,
was a feelin’ down deep inside,
made me feel, like “walkin’ after midnight,”
She cried, “ i stopped to see a weeping willow”,
and as I heard “ crying on his pillow”,
it brought a tear to the edge of my eye,
She started singing once more,
she sounded so sweet, but at the same time a feelin’ of love,
as if her broken heart, had once been torn,
she almost sounded, as if that country voice was going above,
to a loved one that we cannot see, a person in her heart forever more,
to a loved one that we could never be, someone in her arms she’ll forever adore,
we watched that country legend, as her breath let off them slow releases,
of that one song that just made her, as if she was “falling to pieces,”
Now as that lady with her high heels, and her sparklin’ dress,
stepped down from that stage, her voice just becoming less and less,
As i watched her chest, go from a rise to a fall,
she simply raised her hand, and a cheer came from us all,
we took a glimpse that is once more,
as she took a step and stepped out the door,
that was the last i ever heard, of that wonder, that magic, that lovely dressless soul,
I simply grabbed my glass, I walked to the door, and that was the last angel i’d ever known,

Pop

Upbeat, fast tempo
Mouthing quietly to the song
Always getting the lyrics wrong

The electric beat taking over me
Body starts to swing, feet starts tapping
Soon you’ll catch me dancing
And prancing from sun to moon

The voice on the other side, so powerful and full of Glee
Notes belted with passion
I can only imagine
It is as if I can break free
Zoned out in the world where there is only me

Love songs and breakup songs
releasing the built up feelings
Crying or smiling because of meaning
Hopelessly in love with the artists
Can’t be serious about my work
their songs are stuck on replay in my head
English assignment long forgotten
Can’t even sleep in my bed

The tune is overwhelming
And I’m losing my mind
I’m loving this music
Their voice is one of a kind

The volume goes up
Singing doesn’t stop
“This is the part where I break free,
‘cuz I can’t resist it no more.
This is the part where I break free,
‘cuz I can’t resist it no more”

Late into the night
Up until the sunlight
The song finally fades away
Thank God ! My phone has replay!
Looks like the voice is here to stay.

R&B

Slow and sweet melody
Flowing through my ears
Some bring happiness and some bring tears

Swaying from side to side
Or lying down somewhere
The music seeming as though it cares
Speaking my life in it’s lyrics
As if it knows I was gone hear it
The notes that explain my story

Slow and sweet melody
Flowing through my ears
Some bring happiness and some bring tears

Carrying out my faith
It soothes my soul
The lyrics that hit that spot
And sends shivers like I’m cold

The rap that speaks to every young heart
Changed many people right from the start
Filled with sounds that make most groove
As a whole album fills the room

Slow and sweet melody
Flowing through my ears
Some bring happiness and some bring tears

It stimulates the mind
Strums the strings of your heart
And makes your soul glow
Most are mean but many are kind

The way the bass play in the background
The way the guitar strings a melody
The way the drummer beats the drum

Slow and sweet melody
Flowing through my ears
Some bring happiness and some bring tears

Saxophones, trumpets, and sometimes trombones
Sounds like it came straight from the great unknown
